About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. choose, refine and carry out a coherent plan for a research/creative practice project
    2. find and understand varieties of scholarly literature, materials and sources relevant to the research
    3. analyse scholarly literature and materials relevant to the research or creative practice and apply findings in the research project plan
    4. develop scholarly or professional communication skills sufficient to express and manage complex ideas and arguments
    5. demonstrate advanced understanding of cultural, creative and/or technical aspects of the research area.

Others

Students in the Master of Digital and Social Media must have passed either MIC501 Web Communications OR MIC502 Digital Culture and Everyday Life, and have completed at least 75CP of units in their course to enrol in this unit.
Students in the Master of Information Management or Master of Information Science (extended) courses must have passed or be concurrently enrolled in INFM130 Information Theory and Research or INF520 Research and Evaluation, and have completed at least 200CP of units in their course to enrol in this unit.
