About this subject

  • This is an intermediate degree in Indonesian language that expands your social proficiency while deepening understanding of Indonesian morphology, especially word formation through affixes. Aspects of Indonesian culture provide opportunities for discussion on comparisons with Western cultural norms and change in both societies.

    At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. use and create 'ber', 'me' and 'meN-kan' verbs
    2. use classifiers such as 'seorang', 'seekor ', 'sebuah'
    3. apply duplication words
    4. form nouns from verbal roots
    5. apply the suffix 'nya' and the particle 'nya '
    6. use conjunctions and 'Makin lama makin ... '
    7. recall various leisure activities and make arrangements to do something.
