About this subject

  • On successful completion of this Interpreting Health Research, students should be able to:

    1. Appraise the theoretical and philosophical positions that underpin different research approaches in health inquiry
    2. Differentiate between and explain the main health inquiry approaches for practice improvement
    3. Evaluate the significance of ethical processes in health inquiry within a person-centred care environment
    4. Identify and analyse a clinical problem/issue related to quality and safety of care and formulate a related health inquiry or research question
    5. Use information and communication technology effectively to conduct literature searches
    6. Demonstrate critical reading, analysis and synthesis of relevant literature
