About this subject

  • On completion of this subject students should be able to:                          

    1. Examine the concept of corporate governance and the role of managers and directors in creating socially responsible organisations in a local and national context;
    2. Analyse and appraise the role of corporate governance in risk management when responding to various stakeholders’ needs 
    3. Critically analyse leadership and management processes in organisations with respect to governance and policy compliance taking into account their stewardship role of the organisations
    4. Evaluate the conceptual, contextual and ethical issues which bear upon corporate decision making with respect to corporate governance and risk management
    5.  Apply contemporary strategic, risk management and compliance process in a workplace to ensure effective stewardship of organisations
