Fees & charges

Unit fees

At OUA, you pay for your studies on a unit-by-unit basis.

Our pricing information can be seen in the unit summary section of each unit page, for example:

AUD$
Domestic 2,893.00
HECS 1,324.00
International  3,143.00

Fees may vary depending on your enrolment—including whether you're a domestic student, Commonwealth supported place student, or international student.

Domestic fees

If you're an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, or the holder of any category of permanent Australian visa you are considered to be a domestic student.

HECS fees

Commonwealth supported place students have the Australian government cover a portion of their costs, which means that their HECS fees, known as the student contribution amount, may be lower than standard domestic student fees.

The Australian Government groups different areas of study into bands. Student contributions can vary according to the type of unit in which you enrol, and the applicable fee band. See Study Assist for more information about bands.

International fees

An international student is any student who does not hold permanent residency in Australia and is a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. Even if you've been granted temporary residency in Australia, you're still considered to be an international student.

As with domestic students, fees for international students vary depending on the units you're enrolled in.
