This Masters degree will expand your knowledge and skills in clinical education.

Graduates of the Master of Clinical Education students will be able to:

  • evaluate issues and challenges confronting the health care sector
  • conceptualise new and creative approaches to clinical education to support service delivery in culturally-diverse health care settings
  • connect theory, practice and research with regard to clinical education in the health care workplace
  • examine the ethical aspects of personal, social, cultural, environmental and institutional issues that occur within contemporary health care delivery
  • contribute to values-based professional practice in dynamic and challenging environments.

Graduates may seek employment in government or private health care and education facilities in education, research and health promotion.

Higher education

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Clinical Education, an applicant must have completed either:

  • a Bachelor degree in a health discipline or equivalent;
  • the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education; OR
  • the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education.

English Proficiency Requirements

Academic IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 (with minimum scores of 6.0 in all tests).

Award Requirements

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120 cp from in the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  • For Project Stream:
    • 40 cp from Clinical Education units;
    • 60 cp from Project Stream Units;
    • 20 cp from Elective Units
       
  • For Research Stream:
    • 40 cp from Clinical Education units;
    • 80 cp from Research Stream Units
