Entry requirements
Higher education
- An AQF 7 or above Bachelor level degree in Pharmacy from an Australian Pharmacy Council APC accredited undergraduate program from UTAS or another university or tertiary institution that is deemed equivalent.
- Evidence of current AHPRA registration under the General Registration Type for the profession of Pharmacist, without conditions or notations, or equivalent evidence of registration in another country.
*AHPRA registrations will be confirmed and applicants with conditions or notations will be referred to the School for review

Description
Fully online, flexible and self-directed – this course will enable registered pharmacists to diversify and develop advanced skills for a range of advanced practice roles emerging in community and hospital settings.
The course focusses on Australia’s 10th National Health Priority Area - Quality Use of Medicines and Medicines safety (QUM & Medicines Safety), developing in-depth knowledge and capability to enhance best practice pharmacy. The course offers pathways into research higher degrees and professional impact and quality improvement. In addition to the core subject content, students can choose to extend their knowledge of Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics; Public Health; Health Management, and research methods.

For students undertaking full-time study the following study pattern is recommended. If students are undertaking part-time study, we recommend that students complete all first year compulsory subjects prior to completing elective subjects to maximise success.
