This subject aims to advance students&#39; knowledge and generic skills required to be effective in financial planning including an introduction to the FASEA Code of Ethics. Students are exposed to professional communication and connecting with professionals through networking events on and off campus including e.g. FAAA Conference, local chapter meetings of professional associations, and professional development events with industry partners. Prerequisite: AFE124 Professional Identity Part 1. Please note that like AFE124, this is a 5 Credit Point subject. Students should not enrol in this subject if they have previously completed 1204AFE_Y2: Professional Awareness Part 2 at Griffith University.

Professional Awareness Part 2

This subject aims to develop students&#39; knowledge and generic skills required to be effective in financial planning. Students may be involved in interviewing a financial planner, auditing their own skill level, creating an action plan to improve skills and commencing career planning. This is a 5 Credit Point subject; it is intended that students will go onto complete AFE125 Professional Awareness Part 2 (also worth 5 Credit Points) upon completion. This is a restricted subject for students in the Bachelor of Applied Financial Advice. Students should not enrol in this subject if they have previously completed 1204AFE_Y1: Professional Awareness Part 1 at Griffith University.
