This unit was previously known as Health Planning and Evaluation.

In this unit you will consider planning in health care organisations, the planning environment, needs analysis and decision-making. This unit will also explore program evaluation, evaluation designs, perspectives of evaluation, data collection and analysis.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. explain the stages and techniques of health program planning and evaluation
  2. examine the links between planning and evaluation
  3. prepare an outline for a health program plan
  4. assess the appropriateness of different health evaluation approaches.
