This unit provides you with advanced theoretical and technical knowledge in a range of principles, skills and techniques required for management of projects throughout a generic project lifecycle.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. demonstrate advanced theoretical and technical knowledge of project management processes across a typical project lifecycle
  2. critically analyse, evaluate and transform project principles in order to provide solutions to complex problems
  3. generate and evaluate complex knowledge and ideas in project management contexts and transfer to a variety of audiences
  4. describe the qualities and functions of a project manager within a project team
  5. apply advanced individual and team skills that include working with people in local, remote, virtual and/or international project team situations

  • Invigilated Exam — 2000 words equivalent (40%)
  • Report — Group 1300 words per student (30%)
