The Diploma of Logistics provides a qualification for students interested in the integrated management of logistics. This course focuses on procedures for transport and logistics management. Students will explore areas such as the management of suppliers, supply chain and customer service as well as the management of operational and financial plans and budgets.

This course can enhance your employment prospects by preparing you for work within Logistics. Graduates could expect to find employment in these sectors:

  • Customs and freight
  • Dispatching and deliveries
  • Postal services
  • Warehousing and inventory
  • Road, rail and freight operations
  • Domestic and international airlines
  • Public transport.

This course is a TAFE restricted course offered by RMIT University through Open Universities Australia. Students are required to apply and be approved by RMIT before they can enrol in units through OUA.

International applicants must have: IELTS (Academic) 5.5 (no band less than 5.0).

Academic Experience:

The minimum entry requirement is year 12.
Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) VCE study score or equivalent to Year 12 (in the last 12 months).
Students are invited to forward copies of any academic qualifications to support their application.

Workplace Experience:

Students are encouraged to forward any supportive detail of work experience to aid selection officers. Such detail may aid in Recognition of Prior Learning if applicable.

Part-time Students
As a part-time student, you'll need to complete units in the following order:

If you have undertaken formal study associated with this qualification or if you have current skills, knowledge and work skills in this area, you may be able to receive credits for this program.  RMIT will assist you to gather all the relevant information and will then formally map this to the TLI50410 Diploma of Logistics qualification.

If you are successful in gaining credits at either the whole program or individual course level, you may not need to undertake any formal training as you have already met the qualification requirements through your study and/or work and life experience.

This course is restricted. Students are required to apply and be approved by RMIT before they can enrol in units through OUA.

  • Australian citizens who will undertake, in Australia, at least one unit of study contributing to their course

  • Permanent visa holders who are undertaking bridging study for overseas-trained professionals, and will be resident in Australia for the duration of their study
