This capstone course draws together and integrates the learning from other courses.

This is partly achieved through a simulation game in which students form teams (or ‘companies’) and undertake the roles of managers.

They compete with other ‘companies’, planning R&D, investment, production, marketing, and finance over a continuum of eight financial years.

Feedback on decision consequences leads into the following year’s decisions.

Students are also required to participate in consideration and discussion of current business issues, strategic and operational.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  1. apply your business knowledge in business operations and strategy in an integrated way to address business problems
  2. construct a business strategy that recognises the limited nature of organisational resources
  3. derive connections between an organisation’s internal and external factors
  4. design a presentation that integrates the following: verbal and written communication which is articulate, persuasive and involves, consultation, and engagement with clients and employees.
