Students are required to register with Griffith University for this award by completing a registration https://app.secure.griffith.edu.au/griffithpay/Griffith-OUA-Study-Plan.html
for a study plan by paying the required fee. The non-refundable $150 registration fee is payable when the registration is submitted.

The $150 fee is not applicable to students who have accepted a Commonwealth supported place.

You can pay fees in one of two main ways:

Eligible OUA students can apply for loans through the Commonwealth government's Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP), which allows you to defer your fees. You pay back the loan through your taxes once your income reaches a certain level.

There are currently two types of loan:

Changes in 2015:

Please note:
This course has undergone a major change due to changes in the Australian Qualification Framework. These changes will apply to new students commencing from Study Period 1, 2015.

Detailed transition arrangements have been established for students who are following the Program Structure on the OUA website AND for students who are following the Program Structure on the Griffith University website. Those continuing students currently enrolled in specialisations offered by other providers will be able to complete these specialisations as long as they are still available. A customised Study Plan will be completed by the Program Convenor for students who are remain enrolled in the program beyond 2015, to enable them to meet the qualification’s learning outcomes.

Unit Level Changes:

The first year level units that are currently offered in the Human Resource Management and Management award majors were replaced with either 2nd or 3rd year level units, and the program structure was checked to ensure that there are an adequate number of 3rd year level units for students to meet the degree requirement of completing a minimum of 60 credit points of units at year 3 level.

New units:

  • EHR205 Organisational Behaviour
  • IBA302 Managing People in the Global Economy
  • IBA311 Management Problem Solving

Recoded and renamed units:

  • BLW16 - Foundations of Business Law has been recoded and renamed to BLW17 - Business Law.
  • IBA134 - Business Statistics has been recoded to AFE134.
  • ACF110 - Accounting Fundamentals has been recoded and renamed to ACC10007 - Financial Information for Decision Making (Swinburne)
  • IBA306 - International Business and Corporate Governance has been renamed to Business Ethics and Corporate Governance.

Separate to the withdrawal of the specialisations, the following two units have also been removed from the course structure:

  • PSY130 - Organisational Behaviour (Macquarie)
  • IBA105 - Introduction to International Business

For existing students requiring further information regarding these changes and for study plan advice, please contact oua-services@griffith.edu.au
