This unit introduces you to interactive and responsive web design, which sees the creation of a responsive website suitable for web, mobile and tablet display. You will design a portfolio website which leverages responsive web design, populate the website with digital projects you have created through your studies and present a professional web portfolio outcome. Critique and reflection will play central roles allowing you to articulate the conceptual and practical development of your projects.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. create a portfolio style website to present their digital design work to the industry
  2. develop the skills to create a compelling, credible and unique website interface
  3. build a website which is suitable for viewing across various devices including smartphones, desktops and tablets
  4. acquire knowledge of how to use technology and techniques to build websites for different devices
  5. develop a strategy for designing responsive websites.
