This unit, under the guidance of a supervisor, is either research or practice-based, depending on the interest of the student. A practice-based project involves an internship at a human rights organisation and a critical reflection of the experience. A theory-based project involves completion of a dissertation. This unit builds on the outcomes of Human Rights Project Preparation 601.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. critically analyse and evaluate a chose human rights issue
  2. apply appropriate research methods to practical and theoretical research(for students completing an internship)
  3. communicate research outcomes (for students completing a dissertation).
