This unit was previously known as Art Project: Exploration.

This unit is designed to develop your capacity to refine, resolve, present and critique a self-directed studio practice. Considering a variety of international perspectives, you will develop a project proposal, engage in group discussion and ongoing presentation of work to peers.

You must supply your own art materials and have access to a digital camera and/or scanner for documenting your artwork for assessment.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. plan, manage, and create a body of work, applying knowledge of chosen skills, techniques, methods and processes, within an international and cultural context
  2. critically evaluate skills, methods and production techniques in order to extend studio practice
  3. document decision-making and the process of production in order to present studio management practice to peers
  4. originate and manufacture an innovative series of contemporary works.
