Development of skills to assess the appropriate media and methods for the visual communication of the design intent. Students will engage with software-generated drawings and drafting technologies to complement freehand and modelling techniques introduced in previous studios.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. develop a range of creative ideas using appropriate media & techniques relevant to a particular design stage from a local and international perspective
  2. produce visual and verbal presentations that interpret the concepts of three dimensional spaces
  3. create free-hand and software generated, documentation drawings for the construction phase that are representative of industry standards.

  • Additional materials — Students are required to purchase or have access to the Adobe Creative Suite of programs, namely Photoshop and InDesign. The presentation techniques learned in these programs will be used throughout the Interior Architecture Course.
