An introduction to architectural practice, ethics and codes of conduct. The unit also explores the role of the architect, consultants and others in the construction industry, and includes the understanding and writing of Architectural Specifications.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. employ a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to articulate a design proposal
  2. prepare relevant architectural specifications to industry standards
  3. evaluate the construction implications of architects’ design and documentation and the role of the quantity surveyor and contractor in the building process.
