With impact for providers at the core of its strategy, Open Universities Australia (OUA) is thrilled to announce the latest provider to join the marketplace – The University of Newcastle – who is ranked 45 globally in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
Representing the seventh NSW university on OUA’s marketplace, The University of Newcastle’s arrival ensures students have access to yet another world leading Australian university and can be part of an institution that is globally recognised for its commitment to research, outreach and stewardship.
OUA’s 21st provider will bring four Postgraduate Programs from the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment to the marketplace, including: Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity, Graduate Certificate in Information Technology, Graduate Certificate in Project Management and Master of Information Technology.
David Cummings, Head of Partnerships at OUA, says: “The University of Newcastle adds another string to our bow, enabling students across Australia a breadth of really interesting programs and access to another world leading institution online”.
“Now representing over 50 per cent of the Higher Education marketplace on our platform, The University of Newcastle will further strengthen the Postgraduate offering to students—which we know has had increasing interest following the impact of COVID-19 this year.”
With subjects available to enrol in from Study Period 1, January 2021, “OUA expects to see great interest in the four programs, particularly in the Master of Information Technology which is a first for our marketplace,” Cummings adds.
