Open Universities Australia marketplace continues to expand with new partnership
Australia’s leading marketplace for accessing online higher education, Open Universities Australia (OUA), has announced their newly formed partnership with the University of Tasmania.
The addition of the University of Tasmania to OUA’s fast growing portfolio, means that students across Australia will now be able to choose from an even wider array of online higher education degrees from a total of 13 leading universities.
As of Semester 1 2019, four new degrees from the University of Tasmania’s Tasmanian School of Business and Economics will be available to students, including a Bachelor of Business, Master of Marketing Management, MBA (International) and Master of Professional Accounting (Specialisation).
OUA’s Executive General Manager of University Relationships, Janine Harper, says that the partnership is a natural alignment as OUA’s national reach supports the University of Tasmania’s goal to grow domestic enrolments.
‘Over the last couple of years, OUA has invested heavily into growing our national marketing campaigns which has led to a rapid rise in geographic reach and brand awareness, along with a significant increase in new student enrolments (up 17% YoY), lead referrals and website sessions,’ says Ms Harper.
‘We’re committed to maintaining this momentum and are excited to work closely with the team at the University of Tasmania to continue growing their domestic student cohort via the OUA marketplace,’ she continues.
The new partnership means that OUA now has university partners in every Australian state and territory, with hundreds of degrees and more than 1,400 subjects now available to students.
Ms Harper says that as the OUA marketplace has continued to expand, so have overall student enrolments, which is currently tracking five per cent ahead of last year (YTD).
‘Being able to deliver value to our university partners in the form of enrolments and to our students through breadth of choice is key to the continued growth of the OUA marketplace.’
‘We warmly welcome the University of Tasmania to the OUA family and we’re confident that as we demonstrate our value in terms of national reach and enrolments, the relationship will continue to flourish.’
