The introduction of three new online masters programs in education is a reflection of the strong growth in appetite for high quality postgraduate level programs in teaching, as more people opt for a career in a rewarding field.

For those looking to gain a masters degree in teaching, these programs offer flexible learning, enabling students to work towards attaining a teaching qualification in a way that suits each individual's unique needs.

Master of Education

The things you need to know:

• There are 7 units to complete in this program.
• This degree is for educators in a broad range of fields who hold a four-year teacher education degree or equivalent.
• There is a strong emphasis on deepening independent and critical thinking skills.
• It's a great course for people looking to advance their career opportunities and demonstrate professional development.

Master of Teaching (Primary Education)

The things you need to know:

• This program consists of 16 units.
• It is designed for students looking to attain an Initial Teacher Education qualification to register as a teacher in Australia, or other countries where an Australian qualification is recognised.
• For those looking to teach Years 1-6 in primary schools.
• It's a wonderful way to make a difference to our youth through assisting with their development in thinking in the early stages of life.
• Students will complete professional placements in a range of levels and schools and will benefit from the School of Educations' specialization in STEM.

Master of Teaching (Secondary Education)

The things you need to know:

• This course consists of 16 units.
• It is designed for students looking to attain an Initial Teacher Education qualification to register as a teacher in Australia, or other countries where an Australian qualification is recognised.
• For those who wish to teach in secondary schools in Year 7-12.
• Upon completion you will be qualified to teach in one major teaching area (to Year 12) and one minor teaching area (to Year 10).
• Great for people who want to have a positive impact on the youth of Australia.
• Students will have four opportunities to engage in professional practice in schools, culminating in a final professional placement of 5 continuous weeks.
