Introducing a suite of new programs in education at OUA
We are thrilled to announce that in the last six months we have expanded our offering in the area of education to students with the introduction of three new online programs.
- Master of Teaching (Primary Education) - Curtin University
- Master of Teaching (Secondary Education) - Curtin University
- Master of Education - Curtin University
It's an exciting time, as we continue to deepen our relationship with the prestigious Curtin University to offer a range of new programs for students to consider.
The introduction of three new online masters programs in education is a reflection of the strong growth in appetite for high quality postgraduate level programs in teaching, as more people opt for a career in a rewarding field.
For those looking to gain a masters degree in teaching, these programs offer flexible learning, enabling students to work towards attaining a teaching qualification in a way that suits each individual's unique needs.

The Master of Education is ideal for current educators looking to enhance their skillset and take their career to the next level.

Master of Education
The things you need to know:
- There are 7 units to complete in this program.
- This degree is for educators in a broad range of fields who hold a four-year teacher education degree or equivalent.
- There is a strong emphasis on deepening independent and critical thinking skills.
- It's a great course for people looking to advance their career opportunities and demonstrate professional development.

Master of Teaching (Primary Education)
The things you need to know:
- This program consists of 16 units.
- It is designed for students looking to attain an Initial Teacher Education qualification to register as a teacher in Australia, or other countries where an Australian qualification is recognised.
- For those looking to teach Years 1-6 in primary schools.
- It's a wonderful way to make a difference to our youth through assisting with their development in thinking in the early stages of life.
- Students will complete professional placements in a range of levels and schools and will benefit from the School of Educations' specialization in STEM.

Master of Teaching (Secondary Education)
The things you need to know:
- This course consists of 16 units.
- It is designed for students looking to attain an Initial Teacher Education qualification to register as a teacher in Australia, or other countries where an Australian qualification is recognised.
- For those who wish to teach in secondary schools in Year 7-12.
- Upon completion you will be qualified to teach in one major teaching area (to Year 12) and one minor teaching area (to Year 10).
- Great for people who want to have a positive impact on the youth of Australia.
- Students will have four opportunities to engage in professional practice in schools, culminating in a final professional placement of 5 continuous weeks.
