Expanding the portfolio of project management programs at OUA

As a trusted advisor on the best program fit for every student, we are excited to announce the introduction of a new program in 2017, the Master of Science (Project Management) from Curtin University.

This online masters degree will join the existing postgraduate programs in project management offered through Open Universities Australia (OUA), which include the Master of Project Management and Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of South Australia (UniSA).

Offering students more choice through our portfolio of flexible program options is one of our core values.

This new online masters program is a suitable option for those wanting to expand their skills to pursue the management of projects from inception to completion as a career path.

Master of Science (Project Management) - Curtin University

The things you need to know:

  • There are 11 units in this degree.
  • This program is for those who want to gain the understanding, skills and knowledge necessary for performing the role of project manager.
  • The approach to program material is broad, meaning students can then use their skills to manage projects in industries such as construction, engineering, education, health, commerce, information technology and research and development.
  • Students have the option to select either the Research Stream or the Professional Stream for their final semester.

Master of Project Management - UniSA

The things you need to know:

  • There are 16 units to complete in this degree.
  • This program arms you with the skills to plan and organise projects so they are delivered within time, quality and cost constraints.
  • The Australian Institute of Project Management endorses all UniSA project management programs.
  • This program is perfect for those transitioning from an applied background, those already managing projects or those looking to build careers as project managers.
  • The course uses A guide to project management body of knowledge (PMBOK guide) as a framework.
  • There are a number of levels that this program can be taken at, Graduate Certificate (4 units), Graduate Diploma (8 units) or at the Masters level (16 units).

The things you need to know:

  • There are 8 units to complete.
  • This diploma hones in on important skills in project management, which is good for those who want a concentrated approach without committing to a masters degree.
