Open Universities Australia (OUA) is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Chief Financial Officer, Mr Matthew Walsh.

After a national search, OUA's CEO, Paul Wappett is delighted that Mr Walsh accepted the role and is looking forward to leveraging the wealth of experience and knowledge that he will bring to the senior executive team.

"A proven commercial CFO, Matthew has strong operational experience and extensive mergers & acquisitions exposure gained in Australia, the UK and North America," says Mr Wappett.

Mr Walsh has etched a successful career and this includes roles at KPMG, Colonial and Mayne. Most recently, Mr Walsh was CFO for Aconex Limited, a private equity-backed technology company.

One of many recent appointments at OUA, Mr Walsh is part of a larger plan to support the business as it continues to experience exceptional growth in terms of services, students and staff.

  • Dr Darien Rossiter, newly transitioned to role of Executive Director - Online Learning Excellence
  • Amgad Louka, newly transitioned to role of Director - Education Enterprise Solutions
  • Appointment of Ms Toni Cutler, Director - Marketing & Communications
