We've heard from some of our students that door-to-door salespeople claiming to be from Open Universities Australia (OUA) are taking personal information and money from people as part of a fake enrolment process.

We want to make it clear that OUA does not employ door-to-door salespeople to enrol students in our courses.

We take our responsibility to protect your private information seriously. OUA will only ever collect private information at the time of enrolment, either via the website, or through our agents in the contact centre. Any information that you give us is covered by our strict privacy principles, which you can find here.

Be wary of anybody who approaches your home to take photos of your ID, medicare, Tax File Number or credit card details, as this is an unsafe practice.

If you encounter a door-to-door sales person who claims to be from OUA, report them to the police immediately. You can also report them to the federal ScamWatch website www.scamwatch.gov.au
