Smarthinking - help with assignments
If you need help with an assignment, an essay, to figure out a formula, or to even just want to bounce some ideas around, take advantage of Smarthinking.
Smarthinking is a free, on-demand tutoring service that's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And, as an OUA student, you can access four hours of free support for every unit.*
And, if you would like to buy more Smarthinking hours, OUA students can purchase more tutoring at a discounted rate.
Smarthinking services include the Online Writing Lab, where you can submit your assignment drafts for fast, detailed feedback, online tutors who can answer your questions in real time, and experts specialised in disciplines like Maths, Science, Business, Health and IT.
How do I access Smarthinking?
Once you've enrolled in an eligible unit, you can easily access your Smarthinking service from My study centre once your Study Period or Session has started.
- Sign in to My study centre
- Go to My courses and units
- Click on the Smarthinking link beside your eligible units.
Please note that Smarthinking is best supported by Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 7 (IE 7) or higher; Mozilla's Firefox version 3.0 or higher; or Safari 5.0 or higher and Google Chrome.
