Getting advice

Build a student network

Studying online doesn't mean you are alone in your academic pursuits. It is easy to interact with other students through the OUA discussion forum and student contact list. You can get in touch with other OUA students to discuss your studies and benefit from the support and experience of a student network.

Join the OUA student community forum

Join the forum to discuss your studies and ideas with other students. There is a range of study-specific areas, a section to submit questions of general interest to our Student Advisors, and an area for more general discussion. The student forum is available to all current and past OUA students.

To participate in the student forum, sign in to My study centre, scroll down follow the link to Discussion Groups.

Online student contact list

This is a great way to get in contact with other students enrolled in the same units to share information, textbooks or study tips. You can chat with other students in your units by email, phone, or even meet up with other students in your area.
Your details are only available to other students who have also given permission and you can opt in or out at any time.

To view your student contact list, sign in to My study centre and go to Study buddies.
