Swapping units
Swapping units can be easy. Here is the information you will need when considering changing your units or study load.
Swapping undergraduate and postgraduate units
You can request to swap one unit for another until the Close of Enrolment at no cost. Late swaps may be requested up to three working days after the Close of Enrolment.
Swapping TAFE units
You can change your TAFE units within 14 days of enrolling. The fee to change is $50 per unit.
Swapping Enabling units
Enabling units cannot be swapped; however, you can withdraw from them. For withdrawal information, please refer to the Enabling units page.
How do I swap units?
Unit swap requests must be submitted to OUA in writing using the Online Enquiry Form.
For all undergraduate and postgraduate units a penalty of $50 per unit applies to all swap requests submitted after Close of Enrolment. This does not apply to Commonwealth supported students.
