Unit fees

Fees can vary according to the type of unit you enrol in and the applicable fee band. Here is an easy guide to help you find the fees applicable for your own study path. Domestic Student fees

If you are an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, or the holder of any category of permanent Australian visa you are considered to be a domestic student.

Murdoch University undergraduate unit fees
From 2012 Murdoch University is offering its undergraduate degrees through OUA in a different structure which includes both 0.125 EFTSL units and 0.167 EFTSL units. Some unit fees vary from the standard unit fees listed above and further information is available from the relevant course section of this Handbook.

International student fees

An international student is any student who does not hold permanent residency in Australia and is a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. Even if you have been granted temporary residency in Australia, you are still considered to be an international student.

There is an additional $225 cost above the standard fees quoted for each unit at undergraduate or postgraduate level. For UNILEARN units, the international fees are $140 except for UNL61 which is $70. This fee is payable by international students whether they are living in Australia or overseas.
