Payment options

Once you have enrolled in your chosen units, setting up payment is easy. There are a number of options including paying for your units upfront or selecting from the government funding options available (i.e. FEE-HELP, VET FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP).

What is FEE-HELP?

Eligible students can apply for FEE-HELP, a Commonwealth loan scheme that lets you borrow the amount of your undergraduate or postgraduate unit fees. Just look at the numbers: on average over 70% of our students take advantage of the FEE-HELP loan.

FEE-HELP loans are repaid through the Australian Taxation Office once your income reaches the minimum threshold for compulsory repayment ($44,912 for 2010-11). Currently the lifetime limit on the FEE-HELP loan is $86,422.

Applications for FEE-HELP must be completed by the relevant Close of Enrolment date for the period in which you are studying or your enrolment will be cancelled. Once you have enrolled, you can access the online FEE-HELP form on the Make a Payment link in My OUA.

If you are confused or unable to complete an online FEE-HELP application, contact one of our helpful Student Advisors to request a form to be sent to you in the mail.

What is HECS-HELP?
