Description

The purpose of this project-based unit is to provide an opportunity for each participant to integrate their learning by planning, researching and designing an information systems or sustainable business project. The approach taken will be research-based and appropriately contextualised to the specific environment within which the project resides.

Learning Outcomes

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. develop a research design as the blue print for fulfilling research objectives and answering key research questions
  2. carry out a literature review of work relevant to a business issue
  3. identify target populations and the sampling process as appropriate
  4. demonstrate an understanding of the ethics application process
  5. prepare and submit an ethics application for approval
  6. report on research findings as appropriate
  7. contextualise research findings and conclusions to address dynamic business needs.
