Description

This unit aims at developing knowledge and understanding in why Enterprise Systems have evolved as major resources in the suite of information systems adopted by an organisation. As large and pervasive systems, it is imperative to understand how Enterprise Systems impact on the core processes of an organisation, what implications and potential issues there are for organisations in adopting these technologies, and the types of transformation that can be realised through the successful adoption, implementation and utilisation of these systems. Appreciating the magnitude of projects involving the implementation of an Enterprise System, and hence the challenges in successfully managing the implementation of this system will also be considered.

All students will gain hands-on experience using SAP.
