The TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment is a qualification designed for training managers and experienced vocational education and training (VET) practitioners.
The TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment is currently under transition arrangements and will be superseded by the new TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training. The current unit offering of 4 units from the TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment, provides units that have recognized equivalencies in the new qualification. All units completed will be granted RPL (unit-for-unit) when the new qualification is offered.
The Diploma of Training and Assessment specifies the competencies required to engage in advanced practice in facilitated training and assessment; develop training products; provide training advisory and consultancy services; and to lead and coordinate training and assessment services.
This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
Please note: TAFESA do not have VET Fee Help so it is not available for this course.

Eligibility
Entrants into the Diploma of Training and Assessment must have successfully completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence.
How to Apply
This course is restricted. Students are required to apply and be approved by TAFESA Regional before they can enrol in units through OUA.
Students will need to submit an application form by mail with originals or certified copies and evidence of their previous degrees and academic transcripts.

Assessment
Currently in the Diploma of Training and Assessment, students undertake assignments (enhanced by facilitator contact) and project work to complete the course.
Award Requirements
The current TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment qualification requires completion of 12 units for the award qualification, the future qualification TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training requires completion of 10 units.
Students undertaking this offering will graduate with the TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training qualification.

Students may enrol in these units in any order. All of these units are transferable into the new Diploma from the Training and Education Training Package from TAFESA.
