Description
This unit builds upon LMC 604. The purpose of this project-based unit is to enable each participant to integrate their learning by: planning, researching, designing, building and implementing (as appropriate) a community or workplace based project relating to community/business sustainability. The unit offers the opportunity to enhance holistic and creative skills in designing research-based projects that encompass strategic and systems thinking in terms of both project goals and approaches to implementation. The approach taken will be soundly research-based and appropriately contextualised to the specific environment within which the project resides.

Choosing relevant methodologies for data collection (qualitative and quantitative)
Identifying target populations and the sampling process
Understanding business research ethics and the implications for the chosen project
Designing research questions and sampling instrument(s)
Choosing data collection and data preparation processes
Complete ethics application process
Selecting analytical techniques for data analysis and interpretation
Reporting on findings as appropriate
