Description
Worried about your basic maths skills? Feel like you've never really 'understood' maths? Like to be able to critically evaluate newspaper articles that quote statistics or show tables and graphs? Numerical information is becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday life. Read a newspaper, consult with your GP, or talk with your financial advisor - some of the information you'll be given will be in the form of numbers and graphs. This unit covers the basic skills required to interpret the numerical information you meet in everyday life. It also provides a solid grounding in the mathematical skills assumed in many undergraduate units.
