The Certificate of Arts is an exit point from the Griffith University Bachelor of Arts degree. Career Outcomes
The Griffith University Certificate of Arts develops student skills as they progress through each level of the degree. Award Requirements
To achieve the Certificate of Arts students must complete 8 units comprising of the following elements:

one approved Major, a total of eight units

This consists of four units at Level 1, two units at Level 2 and two units at Level 3.

At least two units of the Certificate will need to be Griffith University units offered through Open Universities Australia
Note: Students intending to complete the Art History or Religion Studies Major will need to complete an additional two Griffith University units (in addition to the eight units within the Major) in order to meet this requirement. These can be any two Griffith university units offered through Open Universities Australia
Exit Points
Students who do not wish to complete an entire degree are able to complete either a Certificate of Arts, or a Diploma of Arts, depending on their needs. These smaller qualifications are beneficial for students who need to develop specialised knowledge or are just beginning their study and experiencing some trepidation.
Students who have completed the Certificate of Arts may wish to continue studying towards the Diploma of Arts.
To achieve the Diploma of Arts, students must complete at least one Major (eight units) and Electives (eight units), a total of 16 units. The major sequence must include four units at level 1, two units at level 2 and two units at level 3. Students can take a maximum of eight units at first year level. At least eight units must be Griffith University units offered through Open Universities Australia.
Recognition of Prior Learning / Credit
Students may be able to receive credit for previous studies conducted at other institutions. For further information please contact the Open Universities Australia Officer, Off Campus & Assignment Handling Services at Griffith University.
Registering in this Course
Students are required to register with Griffith University for this degree by completing a registration form and paying the required fee. The non-refundable $100 registration fee is payable when the form is submitted. While there is no immediate requirement for potential students to register in this degree, students are recommended to register after completing 6-8 units in order to receive advice on credit and unit selection.
