The Diploma of Human Resources Management Provides a qualification for students interested in developing their skills to use a range of managerial competencies to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or company. Graduates of this course will have enhanced employment opportunities as a human resources officer, manager or consultant.

TAFE courses can be credited towards your OUA degree
Many OUA courses provide pathways through the qualifications needed to develop your career from TAFE Diplomas through to undergraduate Bachelors degrees and then on to the postgraduate qualifications: Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas and Masters degrees. Your TAFE qualification may provide you with the eligibility to apply for a higher level course or can provide you with unit exemptions and credit towards your university studies.
Pathways - Diploma of Human Resource Management
- Graduates of this course are guaranteed the equivalent of one year of credit towards the Bachelor of Business (Swinburne University of Technology)
Eligibility
While there is no entry requirements, it is recommended that applicants have either completed a Certificate IV or equivalent level qualification or have a reasonable amount of industry experience.
Assessment
Online submission of assessments for all units is required via the Polytechnic West learning management system. While there is no requirement for invigilated exams, video evidence may be required for some practical assessment tasks for online submission and also for underpinning knowledge.
Award Requirements
To qualify for the award of the Diploma of Human Resources Management students must complete all eight competency units.

Recognition of Prior Learning / Credit
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available to all students. You need to check the learning outcomes for each unit to determine your eligibility and then apply for a formal assessment.
You will need to provide documentation as evidence of your competency.
