Description
This unit enhances awareness of ethical issues connected with international corporate decision-making and provides students with business strategies and frameworks that assist in the analysis and resolution of ethical problems. An analytic section introduces concepts including corporate social responsibility (CSR) and moral decision making processes. A thematic section then covers ethical issues related to the global business system, international management strategies, technology, external and internal stakeholders and corporate governance.

There are no prerequisites for this unit.
Note: Level 3 units normally assume a moderate level of prior knowledge in this area, eg from studying related Level 1 and 2 units or other relevant experience.

Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this unit students will be able to:
- have acquired knowledge and understanding of concepts and literature that are fundamental to achieving an understanding of International Business Ethics and Corporate Governance
- use ethical theories and frameworks to analyse ethical dilemmas in international business and resolve practical problems
- identify different stakeholders and understand why they may hold differing perspectives on ethical issues
- develop logical and coherent arguments to support ethical viewpoints
- have enhanced analytical, presentation and professional writing skills through case study analysis, group debates and individual reports
- discuss ethical and corporate governance issues among a diverse group of people.
