The SIT60307 Advanced Diploma in Hospitality provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a senior manager in any hospitality functional area. This individual would analyse, design and execute judgements using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual or managerial competencies. Their knowledge base may be specialised or broad and they are often accountable for group outcomes. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.
This course is suitable for those who wish to perform roles such as:

This Advanced Diploma in Hospitality requires that applicants have successfully completed the SIT50307 Diploma in Hospitality.

This course is restricted. Students are required to apply and be approved by TAFESA before they can enrol in units through OUA.
Students will need to submit an application form by mail with originals or certified copies and evidence of their previous degrees and academic transcripts.

Prepare supporting documents

A "certified" copy is a copy bearing the recognised mark of a Justice of the Peace,
Commission of Oaths or declarations, Public Notary or a Solicitor.

Specifications for all assessments are supplied online. Assessments may take the form assignments, reports or videos uploaded to the course web site, as well as forums and scheduled chat sessions. It may also include multiple choice, true/false, short answer style questions. It should be noted that a validation process will be used to ensure any video images required by an assessment are those of the student enrolled.
The SIT60307 Advanced Diploma in Hospitality requires successful completion of 47 units of study (29 core units plus 18 elective units). Note that the course presented here assumes that the SIT50307 Diploma in Hospitality has been completed (23 core units plus 16 elective units).
This course therefore consists of 6 core units and 2 electives to meet the requirements of the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality.
Processes for Graduating
On successful completion of the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality (SIT60307), including 29 core units plus 18 elective units the student will be required to submit an application to a designated Parchment officer who will process Certificate and notify student.

Based upon a two year part time study load.

Recognition of Prior Learning / Credit
Recognition of prior learning is a process that assesses the individual’s formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required competency outcomes for partial or total completion of a qualification.
Applicants with relevant on-the-job experience or with completion of part of a relevant course may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning.
