Changes to Monash University’s undergraduate offerings
Monash University will not be offering the Bachelor of Business Studies undergraduate units of study through OUA after Study Period 4, 2011.
OUA is currently working to put a plan in place to enable current students to complete the Monash Bachelor of Business Studies, or to transition to a replacement degree or degrees from other universities through OUA, or to the Bachelor of Business and Commerce via distance education at Monash University. We are progressing discussions with other OUA provider universities about the introduction of new units and courses to replace the existing Monash offerings.
Further information about these changes will be posted on this website and where appropriate emailed to students affected by this change.
Monash University will continue to offer postgraduate courses and units through OUA.
Students who have registered for the Bachelor of Business Studies
Students who have registered for the Bachelor of Business Studies will be provided with specific transition and study plan information in due course. To register, students must have submitted a valid registration application by 1 October as set out in the registration criteria and instructions emailed to all 2010 OUA students on 20 September.
New students considering an undergraduate business degree
If you are considering the Monash Bachelor of Business Studies, please be advised that it is no longer possible to register to complete this degree through OUA. OUA has a number of alternative business courses, and will be putting in place new courses to enable all students to complete a wider range of undergraduate business degrees, including specialisations in management and human resources management. Individual units currently offered through Monash will be available until Study period 4 2011.
We invite you to explore our website for other current OUA options which may suit your needs. Learn more about Business Courses.
Students considering individual Monash undergraduate business units
You will be able to enrol in Monash business units through OUA up to Study Period 4, 2011.
Students needing to study Monash units required for other OUA degrees
Any Monash units you enrol in and successfully complete between now and Study Period 4, 2011 which already credit into other OUA degrees will continue to be credited into those degrees, including: the Bachelor of Business at Swinburne, the Bachelor of Accounting at UniSA, the Bachelor of Commercial Law at Curtin, and the Bachelor of Business in Financial Planning or in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at RMIT. Replacement units will be developed with other universities, but the Monash units will be available and given credit in the meantime.
