OUA awards 'Can Do' students with scholarships to enable study
Open Universities Australia (OUA) is today proud to announce the latest recipients of its 'Can Do' Scholarships.
The 'Can Do' scholarships allow students to fulfil their potential by working towards a degree in their chosen field. They are only available to those who have not previously engaged in higher education learning.

Paul Wappett, OUA CEO says: "The scholarships give students the kick-start they need to make them eligible to study at OUA as a Commonwealth supported student and receive assistance for the majority cost of their studies from the Australian Government."
"I congratulate the recent winners on taking the first step towards a higher education qualification. More importantly, I applaud them for exploring new possibilities for their future, which is something they have in common with the rest of our students.
"We are committed to providing educational opportunities to broad range of Australians and these scholarships are an example of how we bring this commitment to life" says Mr Wappett.
OUA's core business is providing open access to high quality online education. Throughout 2012, it is expanding its support to students by offering total of 100 scholarships for those who have not studied through OUA before and require financial assistance to realise their goals.
OUA 'Can Do' scholarships are awarded quarterly, with applications still being taken for the remainder of 2012. Applications for Study Period 3 scholarships close July 1st. For further information on the 'Can Do' Scholarship visit www.open.edu.au/scholarships.
